Evelina Koutra is a Pediatrician with postgraduate training in childhood obesity, pediatric nutrition, and allergies in children and adolescents. She is a graduate of the School of Medicine at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a Master's degree in "Applied Dietetics and Nutrition" from Harokopio University of Athens, from which she graduated with a scholarship, having completed her thesis on childhood obesity.She began her pediatric specialization at the General Hospital of Lamia and completed it at “Penteli Children’s Hospital,” where she obtained her Pediatrics specialty title after passing national board exams. During her training, she gained substantial experience in the care of infants, children, and adolescents. Her clinical experience was further expanded at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of "Elena Venizelou" Maternity Hospital, where she specialized in the care of premature newborns and in counseling new parents.She holds international certifications in Newborn Life Support (NLS) and European Pediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS), and she is certified in administering the "PAIS" developmental screening test, aimed at the early detection of autism spectrum disorders in young children.In addition, she has been awarded the title of Pediatric Nutrition Specialist after examinations by the Hellenic Dietetic Association and is certified to guide new mothers in breastfeeding support by the Institute of Child Health.In her professional career so far, she combines her work at her private pediatric practice with her role as a collaborating physician at the Pediatric Clinics of “Mitera” and “Metropolitan” hospitals, as well as at the Allergy Clinic of “Penteli Children’s Hospital.”As part of her ongoing professional development, she is currently attending the Postgraduate Program in Clinical Allergy and Immunology at the University of Cork, Ireland, and a postgraduate course in Pediatric Nutrition at Boston University.Throughout and after her specialization, Dr. Koutra has actively participated in medical seminars and has presented award-winning research at both national and international conferences.
