The visit to Dr. Mourikis Evangelos Orthopedic Surgeon was one that gave me hope in finding the solution for a health issue that I'm dealing for a couple of months now! First I need to mention that due to unforeseen circumstances I was late 15 mins for the appointment and Dr. Mourikis was very understanding and he didnt change his attitude during appointment. Which was a first good sign of professionalism and kindness that I really appreciated! During the consultation he listened to everything I had to say and he did extra investigation to figure out the possible diagnosis. He was very patient and explained very well to me what the diagnosis could be. And he guided me for further medical exams in order to understand the issue. I am thankful for his services so far and I am recommending him to anyone who has problems with their joints or any orthopedic matters!

Είχα πολύ καλή εμπειρία από τον γιατρό, καθώς πήγα με μια σειρά θεμάτων που με απασχολούσαν. Doctor Evangelos Is one of the best ones I have met in Athens. Αξίζει τα δέκα αστέρια του. Ασχολήθηκε όντως για να καταλάβει τι πρόβλημα έχω, να μου το εξηγήσει και να μου περιγράψει τις επιλογές που υπάρχουν. Ήμουν πολύ τυχερή, γιατί έκλεισα τυχαία το ραντεβού επειδή μπορούσα να πάω αυθημερόν, και έπεσα πάνω σε ένα γιατρό που ασχολείται όντως με το πρόβλημα του μυικού πόνου. Πιστεύω πως η πρακτική του βελονισμού ήταν βοηθητική για την περίπτωσή μου, και χαίρομαι που δεν είναι ένας ακόμη ορθοπεδικός που θα απαξίωνε το πρόβλημα και θα μου συνταγογραφούσε χάπια.

When I changed home and started sleeping on a softer mattress a couple of months ago, my right leg started getting numb. I have had lower back issues for a long time, so I thought it was related and didn't pay much attention. Now, there is a slight but constant loss of sensation and pain, along with tickling and itching. I'm worried about being too late so can you please help me, how serious this might be, and which doctor should I see?
- You should be evaluated by an orthopaedic surgeon with an MRI and EMG in order to see if your symptoms are from your lower back. Also a detailed clinical exam is essential for your diagnosis.

Hello, In June, I developed knee pain and difficulty bending my knee. After an MRI in July 2024, a Spanish orthopedic specialist diagnosed me with Grade I patellar chondropathy (no significant abnormalities in ligaments or menisci) and recommended topical treatment for 3 months. He mentioned that if the issue persisted, a hyaluronic acid injection might be needed. It has now been over 3 months, and while the pain has lessened, I still can’t bend my knee without significant discomfort. I’m currently in Athens and unable to return to Spain soon. Can I request a hyaluronic acid injection from an orthopedic specialist here based on my previous diagnosis, or would I need a new MRI? Thank you.
- You could simply have an injection of course but that would just relief your symptoms and not your problem.
