I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with experience of working both in the English NHS and the private sector. I offer evidence-based therapy which is adapted to your individual needs and circumstances.

I completed my training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) while working as a trainee therapist in the NHS. During my subsequent years in the NHS I provided individual as well as group CBT, and supervised colleagues.

As a therapist I have been supporting adults who have difficulties that include but are not limited to: low mood, low self-esteem, specific phobias, panic attacks, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, PTSD, health anxiety, body dysmorphia. I am also trained in supporting individuals whose mental health is affected as a consequence of long-term health conditions.

In my practice I use a combination of traditional CBT, and also incorporate elements of third wave CBT approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), as well as Systemic Therapy.

Having lived in England for over 10 years I have an interest in cross-cultural practice. My aim is to support you become more aware of yourself, manage your mental health difficulties, find the right balance in your life and reach your goals. I believe that everyone has the capacity to build on their strengths and achieve positive outcomes.

Με τη σύζυγό μου αποφασίσαμε για πρώτη φορά να συμβουλευτούμε κάποιον ειδικό καθώς αντιμετωπίζαμε κάποια προβλήματα στη σχέση μας που επηρέαζαν την επικοινωνία μας. Τον κ. Μπαρτζη τον βρήκαμε από την ιστοσελίδα doctoranytime και αποφασίσαμε να κλείσουμε ένα ραντεβού (το οποίο είναι δωρεάν) . Μείναμε πολύ ευχαριστημένοι και έκτοτε έχουμε κάνει άλλες 3 συνεδρίες. My time with George has been life changing to say the least. After a pretty bad previous experience with therapy, I was dreading to try again for so long but when I finally made the decision to go for it, I was lucky enough to find George. George is kind, professional and he is beyond knowledgeable and also empathetic. I know it’s his profession but he listens the perfect amount and talks the perfect amount.
