Επιπρόσθετα, κατόπιν λεπτομερούς κλινικής εξέτασης η ιατρός συνταγογραφεί τις απαραίτητες πρoληπτικές εξετάσεις για τον κάθε ασθενή (check-up) και χορηγεί πιστοποιητικά υγείας. Τέλος, στα πλαίσια της προληπτικής ιατρικής η γιατρός συστήνει τα απαραίτητα εμβόλια για τον κάθε ασθενή εξατομικευμένα ανάλογα πάντα με την ηλικία του και την κατάσταση της υγείας του.
