Dr Iraklis Kontoes is a Family Doctor and maintains a private practice in Melissia. He is a graduate of the School of Medicine of Masaryk University, Czech Republic. During his undergraduate studies, he participated in research projects that earned him a scholarship to the world-renowned Harvard University in Massachusetts where he was a graduate fellow where he was a member of a research group in the field of skin regenerative medicine and wound healing and the work of the group was published in an international bibliography. He began his residency at Amalia Fleming General Hospital where he served one year as a resident general surgeon. He then transferred to the General Hospital of Kavala where he served for 2 years as a specialist general practitioner in departments of the hospital as well as in the health center of Prinos Thassos as an internal physician assistant. He then returned to Athens to complete his residency at the 251 General Aviation Hospital, the Penteli Children's General Hospital, the Andreas Syggros Skin Diseases General Hospital and finally at the Rafina Health Center from where he completed his specialty training. During specialty training he took part in numerous Medevac Missions with motor vehicles, vessels and aircraft and currently he is a Flying Doctor for Medevac companies in Greece and abrad. Then, from 2010, he worked as scientific director and head of the laser, aesthetic and regenerative medicine departments of Dr Kontoes Medical Group. Since October 2019, he is the founder of the general - family medicine clinic Estia Medical in Melissia. Always focusing on the needs of each patient, advised by his scientific excellence combined with his experience and unquestionable professionalism, he deals with a multitude of cases. He is actively involved in Regenerative Medicine and modern regenerative treatments with stem cells and their derivatives.
