I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with experience of working both in the English NHS and the private sector. I offer evidence-based therapy which is adapted to your individual needs and circumstances.
I completed my training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) while working as a trainee therapist in the NHS. During my subsequent years in the NHS I provided individual as well as group CBT, and supervised colleagues.
As a therapist I have been supporting adults who have difficulties that include but are not limited to: low mood, low self-esteem, specific phobias, panic attacks, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, PTSD, health anxiety, body dysmorphia. I am also trained in supporting individuals whose mental health is affected as a consequence of long-term health conditions.
In my practice I use a combination of traditional CBT, and also incorporate elements of third wave CBT approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), as well as Systemic Therapy.
Having lived in England for over 10 years I have an interest in cross-cultural practice. My aim is to support you become more aware of yourself, manage your mental health difficulties, find the right balance in your life and reach your goals. I believe that everyone has the capacity to build on their strengths and achieve positive outcomes.
