Dolly Nina is a Psychologist and works in her practice in Athens, monitoring people with a variety of needs. She obtained her first degree in Psychology from the State University of New York - Empire State College, which was recognized by the Ministry of Health, giving her a license to practice in Greece. She then pursued a postgraduate specialisation, at the University of Central Lancashire, which focused on the relationship between mental and physical health (Health Psychology). Her most recent postgraduate training was at the Athens Centre for the Study of Man (ACMA) and was in Systemic Therapy, a form of psychotherapy which focuses on and studies the personal relationships of the individual and how these interactions can affect their wellbeing. The field of psychology is constantly evolving and changing, which is why she attends additional seminars and conferences each year so that she can keep up to date and enrich the therapeutic methods she applies to her clients. Individual therapies, group therapies, couples therapy and online sessions for those who do not have the time or means to travel are held at her facility. In addition, she has been working at Metropolitan Hospital, specifically at the 4th Oncology Clinic since 2019, counselling people receiving treatment for different types of cancer and their families to help them cope with the transition period of going from diagnosis to treatment and life afterwards. Counselling is carried out individually or in groups, always tailored to the needs of the patient and their family.
