Orthopaedic - Orthopaedic Surgeon
Konstantinos Starantzis is an Orthopaedic Surgeon, Doctor of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Director of the 5th Orthopaedic Clinic at IASO General. He is also a practicing Consultant Spinal Surgeon at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire (Stoke-on-Trent) in the United Kingdom. He is Scientific Director and Head of the Spinal Department of the Osteon Orthopedic Clinic. He has a particular interest in modern techniques and in particular those of minimally invasive surgery, but chooses to use them when they are appropriate and never when conventional methods are safer and more cost effective. He is a member of many Greek and foreign scientific committees and organizations and remains academically active as a Doctor of the University of Athens, having to his credit dozens of publications of articles and innovative surgical techniques in scientific journals and reviews abroad. Finally, he has participated in the writing and translation of contemporary orthopaedic textbooks.
