Dr. Irene Nitoda is an ophthalmic surgeon who runs her private practice in Korydallos. She is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Ioannina, holds a Master’s Degree in Optics and Vision from the University of Crete, and has earned a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Additionally, she specializes in retinal pathology, holding a Master’s degree in diabetic retinopathy and a doctoral dissertation on age-related macular degeneration. She is an external associate of the 1st Ophthalmology Clinic at Metropolitan Hospital, the Athinaiki Mediclinic, and OΜΜΑ (Ophthalmological Institute of Athens). She has also been a former associate of the Electrophysiology Department of the 1st University Ophthalmology Clinic. Furthermore, she maintained a private practice in France (Chelles, Île-de-France, Paris) from June 2020 to May 2024. Finally, Dr. Nitoda has an extensive research and scientific portfolio, with publications in international medical journals, participation in postgraduate training seminars, as well as contributions to papers and presentations at international and national conferences.
