Πολύποδας χοληδόχου πάνω από 1 cm πρέπει να αφαιρείται πάντα; Ανεξάρτητα αν το άτομο δεν έχει άλλους παράγοντες κινδύνου για καρκίνο;

Πρέπει να το συζητήσετε με κάποιον χειρουργό. Γενικά συστήνεται να αφαιρείται.

Ένδειξη για χειρουργείο έχουμε όταν ο πολύποδας είναι 15mm. Στις περισσότερες περιπτώσεις δεν πρόκειται για γνήσιους πολύποδες αλλά για ψευδοπολυποδες δηλαδή είναι χοληστερινικοι λίθοι και επειδή η χολή είναι πηχτή κρέμονται από το τοίχωμα και στον υπέρηχο φαίνονται σαν πολύποδες. 8 στους 10 στο τέλος χειρουργούνται.
