Ήταν το πρώτο μου ραντεβού με την κ. Ειρήνη και μπορώ να πω πως η οικειότητα που ένιωσα δεν την είχα ξανανιώσει με μια αλλη ψυχολόγο που είχα κάνει απόπειρα να ξεκινήσω ψυχοθεραπεία στο παρελθόν. ΜΕ την κ. Ειρήνη ένιωσα εμπιστοσύνη από το πρώτο βλέμμα και χαμόγελο και πως μπορώ κάπου να ανοιχτώ ελεύθερα για τα προβλήματα μου χωρίς ντροπή ή φόβο. Θα το νιώσετε και εσείς αν την επισκεφθείτε. Συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα και προσωπικά θα συνεχίσω τις συνεδρίες μαζί της. Έφυγα απ το γραφείο της με μια τεράστια ανακούφιση. Λες και άφησα μια πέτρα από πάνω μου.

Επισκέφτηκα την γιατρό και ήμουν αρκετά επιφυλακτική. Στην αρχή με κέρδισε η ευγένεια της και στην πορεία της συνεδρίας μας αισθάνθηκα μια γιατρός που μου ενέπνευσε ηρεμία και εμπιστοσύνη. Με άγγιξαν τα λόγια της και εκεί κατάλαβα ότι βρήκα τον κατάλληλο άνθρωπο. Όταν αποχώρησα, ένιωσα πιο αισιόδοξη ότι μπορώ και εγώ να βρω λίγο φως παραπάνω μέσα στο σκοτάδι μου. Άλλωστε όλοι το αξίζουμε στην σύντομη ζωή μας.

Οι συνεδρίες με έναν σύμβουλο ψυχικής υγείας που πληρεί τα θέλω και τις ανάγκες μου, είναι το καλύτερο δώρο που έχω κάνει στον εαυτό μου ... θεωρώ ότι οι περισσότεροι άνθρωποι στις μέρες μας ζούμε την καθημερινότητα με έντονο ρυθμό και με μεγάλη ποικιλία δραστηριοτήτων και πληροφοριών, κάτι που πολλές φορές δεν αφήνει χρόνο να γνωρίσουμε και να σεβαστούμε τα θέλω και τον εαυτό μας.
