Είναι ασφαλής η χρήση κορτιζόνης (Medrol) για κνίδωση και ποιες είναι οι παρενέργειες;
Καλησπέρα σας. Εμφάνισα κνιδωση πριν 6 μήνες περίπου αλλά δεν έδινα σημασία μέχρι που πήγα σε 2η γιατρό πριν ένα μήνα και μου είπε ότι έχω . Πήρα αντιισταμινικα για περίπου 2 εβδομάδες αλλά δεν σταμάτησε και μου έγραψε κορτιζόνη (Medrol). Μου είπε ότι 5 μέρες θα παίρνω ένα χάπι, 5 μερες μισό χάπι, και 2 μερες μισό του μισού. Είναι πολύ? Μπορεί να μου κάνει κακό η κορτιζόνη? Και σε αυτές τις μέρες τι παρενέργειες μπορεί να έχω

Χαίρετε! Εφόσον η κνίδωση διαρκεί πάνω από 2 μήνες πάσχετε από χρόνια κνίδωση. Αυτό σημαίνει ότι θα κρατήσει για μήνες ή χρόνια. Η κορτιζόνη σε αυτές τις δόσεις και γι αυτό το διάστημα δεν αναμένεται να προκαλέσει κάποια παρενέργεια αρκεί να την λαμβάνετε με γεμάτο στομάχι και να μην τρωτε γλυκα και αλμυρά. Ωστόσο μετα τη διακοπή της η κνίδωση (κατά πάσα πιθανότητα) θα επανεμφανιστεί . Σε αυτή την περίπτωση καλο θα ηταν να σας εκτιμήσει αλλεργιολόγος.

Καλησπέρα. Η κορτιζόνη από του στόματος μπορεί να δοθεί σε μία έξαρση κνίδωσης για 7-10 ημέρες το πολύ. Αν η κνίδωσή σας επιμένει παρά τη λήψη αντιισταμινικών, ενδεχομένως μπορείτε να ξεκινήσετε θεραπεία με βιολογικό παράγοντα (ομαλιζουμάμπη). Συμβουλευθείτε αλλεργιολόγο.
