Hi I have fallen down 2 days ago, I hit my back around the right rib area and was gasping for breath for about 5min. Now there is visible bruising on about 3 ribs. The pain is quite bad I have been taking some painkillers but wondering if there is anything else I can do or take to improve the situation.

You might have broken you rib(s) , if you still have trouble breathing you should visit a doctor.
Unfortunately there is no special treatment for such injuries other than painkillers
It will gradually get better

Sometimes a neoprene belt around the bruised area helps. That's only for pain relief though and will have no effect on healing. The healing process will have to run its course . Also, results vary. It might not help at all. Unfortunately , the bottom line is that you just have to be patient.
