Η Καρέτσου Ιωάννα είναι Διαιτολόγος - Διατροφολόγος και διατηρεί ιδιωτικό διαιτολογικό γραφείο στα Ιωάννινα, παρέχοντας σύγχρονες υπηρεσίες. Σπούδασε στο Τμήμα Διατροφής και Διαιτολογίας του Τεχνολογικού Εκπαιδευτικού Ιδρύματος Σητείας, από όπου και αποφοίτησε το 2016. Η πτυχιακή της εργασία είχε ως θέμα "Αποτελεσματικότητα της παρέμβασης τρόπου ζωής στην παιδική παχυσαρκία" και καταχωρήθηκε στην κεντρική βιβλιοθήκη του Τεχνολογικού Εκπαιδευτικού Ιδρύματος Σητείας. Τα έτη 2015-2016 εκπόνησε την 6μηνη πρακτική της άσκηση σε διαιτολογικό γραφείο στα Ιωάννινα και ταυτόχρονα, πραγματoποίησε εθελοντικά πρακτική άσκηση στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Ιωαννίνων "Γ. Χατζηκώστα", παρακολουθώντας ασθενείς με παθολογικές καταστάσεις. Έχει εξειδικευθεί ως Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders & Obesity υπό την αιγίδα του κέντρου Διατροφικών Διαταραχών της Αγγλίας. Κατά τη διάρκεια των σπουδών της αλλά και μέχρι σήμερα παρακολουθεί συνεχώς σεμινάρια και ημερίδες διατροφής και ενημερώνεται συνέχεια για τα νέα δεδομένα στην επιστήμη της υγείας.
