Treatment: Ο καθαρισμός ή αποτρύγωση αποτελεί μία πράξη πρόληψης και θεραπείας. Πραγματοποιείται μέσω ειδικής συσκευής υπερήχων η οποία παράγει δονήσεις που αποκολλούν την πέτρα και τις μικροβιακές πλάκες στην επιφάνεια των δοντιών. Στη συνέχεια γίνεται στίλβωση (γυάλισμα) με ειδική φθοριούχο πάστα για να απομακρυνθούν οι χρωστικές και να καθυστερήσει η επανεμφάνιση της πέτρας.
