Η σκελετική διεύρυνση απαιτεί συνδυαστική θεραπεία με χειρουργική επέμβαση. Μπορεί όμως ανάλογα την περίπτωση να επιτευχθεί διόρθωση της σταυροειδούς χωρίς σκελετική διεύθυνση αλλά μόνον οδοντική.
