Η crp δεν ανεβαίνει στην οστεοαρθρίτιδα , ανεβαίνει όμως στη ρευματοειδή.

Και στις δύο νόσους οι δείκτες φλεγμονής όπως η crp μπορεί να αυξηθούν. Ένας αρνητικός ρευματολογικά έλεγχος δεν αποκλείει την ύπαρξη η όχι ρευματολογικά νοσήματος.
