Πρώτη επίσκεψη σε γυναικολόγο στα 23: τι να περιμένω και να αναφέρω;
Είμαι 23 ετών και δεν έχω πάει σε γυναικολόγο. Νιώθω τρελή ενοχή κάθε φορά που λέω ότι θα κλείσω ραντεβού και δεν κλείνω ποτέ. Θα πρέπει να αναφέρω στον γυναικολόγο ότι δεν έχω ξανά κάνει ποτέ εξέταση; Ποιες είναι οι ερωτήσεις που συνηθίζονται; Ίσως οι απαντήσεις σας μου δώσουν λίγη αυτοπεποίθηση να κλείσω επιτέλους ραντεβού.

Καλησπέρα. Θα ήθελα να σε καθησυχάσω. Είναι πολύ πιο συνηθισμένο απ’ όσο φαντάζεσαι να διστάζει κάποια κοπέλα να πάει για πρώτη φορά σε γυναικολόγο. Δεν υπάρχει κανένας λόγος για ενοχή ή ντροπή. Αντίθετα, είναι σημάδι φροντίδας για τον εαυτό σου το ότι σκέφτεσαι να το κάνεις.
Μπορείς να πεις απλά στον γιατρό ότι είναι η πρώτη σου φορά, είναι κάτι που ακούμε πολύ συχνά και μας βοηθά να προσαρμόσουμε την προσέγγισή μας με μεγαλύτερη προσοχή και ευαισθησία. Δεν θα σου κάνουν τίποτα χωρίς τη συναίνεσή σου. Η πρώτη επίσκεψη είναι περισσότερο μια γνωριμία, για να συζητήσετε τυχόν απορίες σου, να μιλήσετε για τον κύκλο σου, την περίοδό σου, τη σ...εξουαλική σου υγεία και να δεις ότι δεν είναι τελικά κάτι τρομακτικό.
