Αν είναι τεκμηριωμένα μύκητες, δηλαδή έχει γίνει καλλιέργεια και άμεσο παρασκεύασμα από τα πάσχοντα νύχια και έχει βρεθεί μύκητας, τότε θα πρέπει να κάνετε αντιμυκητιασική θεραπεία με τα ανάλογα φάρμακα. Καλό είναι στις εξετάσεις, να γίνει και αντιμυκητόγραμμα ώστε να εντοπιστεί ο παθογόνος μύκητας και να χορηγηθεί η ενδεδειγμένη αγωγή. Αν τώρα ο μύκητας έχει πίάσει μόνο την περιφέρεια του νυχιού, μπορεί να πάει καλά με τοπική αγωγή, αν όμως έχει πιάσει και την ρίζα του νυχιού, χρειάζονται και χάπια....
