Παρόλα αυτά, καλό θα ήταν να γίνει ένας βασικός γυναικολογικός έλεγχος, όπως υπέρηχος και τεστ Παπ, για να αποκλείσουμε άλλες αιτίες, όπως κάποια φλεγμονή, τραχηλίτιδα ή πολύποδα.
