Είναι ασφαλές να παίρνω Imodium για γαστρεντερίτιδα ή να την αφήσω να περάσει μόνη της;
Καλησπέρα. Μια ερώτηση για την γαστρεντερίτιδα και τα imodium. Κάποιοι γιατροί συστήνουν να αφήνουμε την ίωση να περασει μόνη της χωρίς να πάρουμε κάποιο χαπι γιατί πρέπει να αποβληθεί από τον οργανισμό και ειναι επικίνδυνο να την σταματήσεις. Κάποιοι άλλοι δεν συμφωνούν και λένε αν πάρεις imodium το έντερο επανέρχεται πολύ πιο γρήγορα, δεν θα αφυδατωθεις, τα συμπτώματα υποχωρούν πιο γρήγορα και μπορείς να επανέλθεις πιο σύντομα στην καθημερινότητα.

Αν είναι ιογενής η γαστρεντερίτιδα τότε το immodium βοηθάει και συχνά είναι απαραίτητο.
Αν είναι μικροβιακή η γαστρεντερίτιδα μπορεί να προκαλέσει σοβαρές επιπλοκές.

Απλά και ξεκάθαρα : σε οποιαδήποτε διάρροια θεωρούμε αποτέλεσμα ιού, μικροβίου ή τροφική δηλητηρίαση, δεν χρησιμοποιούμε φάρμακα τύπου imodium διότι το μικρόβιο και οι τυχόν τοξίνες του πρέπει να φύγουν το συντομότερο από το έντερο.
