Τα τελευταία χρόνια έχει συνεργαστεί ως Αθλητικός Ψυχολόγος με αθλητές που συμμετέχουν στους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες αλλά και με αρκετά αθλητικά σωματεία και συλλόγους, και με επαγγελματικά ποδοσφαιρικά σωματεία, όπως ο Νέστος Χρυσούπολης, αποτελώντας μάλιστα και μέλος της ΠΑΕ ΠΑΟΚ και των Ακαδημιών της, το 2016. Από το 2020 έως το 2023 συνεργάστηκε και με τον Ναυτικό Όμιλο Ιωαννίνων ως εξωτερικός συνεργάτης παρέχοντας υπηρεσίες Ψυχολογικής Υποστήριξης στους αθλητές/τριες του ΝΟΙ, ενώ από τις αρχές του 2025 συνεργάζεται με την Κολυμβητική Ομοσπονδία Ελλάδος.

Ο κ. Βερτουδάκης τους τελευταίους 10 μήνες, ήτοι από την εκκίνηση του 2025 ανέλαβε επισήμως Επιστημονικός Συνεργάτης-Αθλητικός Ψυχολόγος της Κολυμβητικής Ομοσπονδίας Ελλάδος.

 Η πρόσφατη κατάκτηση του χρυσού παγκοσμίου μεταλλίου (καλοκαίρι 2025) από την Εθνική Ομάδα Γυναικών του Πόλο αλλά και η κατάκτηση της 3ης θέσης – χάλκινο μετάλλιο από το αντίστοιχο συγκρότημα των Ανδρών της Εθνικής Ελλάδος Πόλο τον βρήκε στο επιτελείο, ήτοι να συμμετέχει ενεργά στην Ψυχολογική Υποστήριξη των αθλητών-αθλητριών της ΚΟΕ. Η επιστημονική ομάδα που έχει αναλάβει την ψυχολογική υποστήριξη των αθλητών-αθλητριών της Κολυμβητικής Ομοσπονδίας Ελλάδος γίνεται υπό την επίβλεψη και την επιστημονική καθοδήγηση του Εργαστηρίου Αθλητικής Ψυχολογίας με έδρα το Τμήμα Επιστήμης Φυσικής Αγωγής και Αθλητισμού στα Τρίκαλα.

Επιπρόσθετα για 5η συνεχόμενη σεζόν συνεργάζεται ως Αθλητικός Ψυχολόγος με τις ακαδημίες μπάσκετ AEK BC Academy.

Παράλληλα, υποστηρίζει αθλητές και προπονητές τόσο ατομικά όσο και ομαδικά, σε επίπεδο συμβουλευτικής και διαχείρισης καταστάσεων εντός και εκτός του αθλητισμού, συμβάλλοντας στην ψυχολογική τους ενδυνάμωση.

Επιπλέον, την τελευταία 10ετία έχει εργαστεί και ως Ψυχολόγος σε δημόσια σχολεία της χώρας, στον Διεθνή Οργανισμό Μετανάστευσης , ενώ έχει συνεργαστεί επί διετία και με Κέντρο ειδικών θεραπειών, υποστηρίζοντας τόσο ψυχοθεραπευτικά όσο και συμβουλευτικά παιδιά τυπικής, και μη τυπικής ανάπτυξης και τους γονείς τους.

Ο Β. Βερτουδάκης έχει στην κατοχή του και το δεύτερο μεταπτυχιακό του, με αντικείμενο εξειδίκευσης την Κλινική Ψυχική Υγεία, του Τμήματος Ιατρικής, του Α.Π.Θ., ενώ το πάθος του για τον αθλητικό χώρο, τον οδήγησε να δουλεύει για αρκετά χρόνια και ως προπονητής ποδοσφαίρου, κατέχοντας το δίπλωμα ποδοσφαίρου Uefa C αλλά και πιστοποίηση Personal & Group Training του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας.
