Dr. Christos Rigopoulos is a specialist Vascular Surgeon and Angiologist, Head of Clinic for Phlebology, Vascular & Endovascular Surgery at Euroclinic Athens. He graduated from University of Ioannina Medical School in 1997. After starting his General Surgery Residency at Ioannina University Hospital in 1998, he continued his surgical training in Cusanus Krankenhaus in Bernkastel - Kues, Germany (2003 - 2004) and completed Vascular Surgery residency at Athens General Hospital "G. Gennimatas" in 2009. As a specialist Vascular Surgeon he established Private Clinic for Phlebology and Vascular Disorders in Athens (2009) and Rodos (2015). After working as Consultant Vascular Surgeon in Athens Medical Center (Iatriko Kentro Athinon) and Metropolitan General Clinic, since 2021 he is appointed as Head of Clinic for Phlebology, Vascular & Endovascular Surgery at Euroclinic Athens. His experience covers the entire spectrum of modern Vascular and Endovascular Surgery both in surgical (endovascular techniques, stent placement, bypass grafting etc) as well as in diagnostic field (certification for color duplex ultrasound - Triplex), with emphasis on venous disorders (endovenous laser or RF ablation for varicose veins, sclerotherapy for spider veins, thrombosis treatment).
